WK Masters zaalhockey in Nottingham met Pasen
6 april 2024 |Terwijl de meesten van ons hier op de club hebben
bijgedragen aan èn genoten van ons EHL-succes, vond in Nottingham (UK) van
vorige week woensdag t/m afgelopen maandag het Wereldkampioenschap Zaalhockey
plaats van de World Hockey Masters. Ook Nederland was vertegenwoordigd met 6 teams van de in totaal
80 teams in verschillende leeftijdscategorieën van 35+ tot en met 60+. Met
bijna 1.000 hockeyers is dit één van de grootste hockeytoernooien. In 5
wedstrijddagen hebben de teams 5-7 wedstrijden gespeeld. Dat is best een
aanslag op je lijf, maar de teams waren hier goed op voorbereid.
De voorbereiding op dit WK begon in december met 1-2
trainingen en/of oefenwedstrijden per week tot vlak voor vertrek. Omdat de
blaashallen vanaf eind februari weer opgeruimd werden en de meesten van ons
gingen veldhockeyen, zijn deze teams op zoek gegaan naar zaalruimte in oa
Amsterdam, Almere, Amersfoort, Bunnik, Rotterdam, etc. En dat naast de
veldtrainingen en -wedstrijden die iedereen ook met z'n clubteams 'gewoon'
ernaast bleef doen. De teams hebben Nederland goed vertegenwoordigd met
sportieve strijd en mooie resultaten. En Pinoké was vertegenwoordigd in de
meeste teams. En gelukkig maar, want Pinoké-ers willen niet alleen mooie
resultaten - ze zetten ze ook neer!

M50 Brons: Job Kummer en Tom van Essen
M60 Zilver: Mark Hunneman en Robbert Mittendorf
W50 Zilver: Anne-Rose Hartman en Judith Sijbers
W55 4e: Fransje Bijnen en Käthe Laumans
